La Educación Religiosa y los Sacramentos en San Pío V

La Educación Religiosa y los Sacramentos

Las niñas y los niños y jóvenes del primer al 12 grado se inscriben en programas de catequesis para los sacramentos del Bautismo, Reconciliación, Comunión y Confirmación.

Los programas comienzan en septiembre con la inscripción ahora en los meses de junio y julio en la oficina parroquial. Los estudiantes que se trasladan de otros programas son bienvenidos en San Pío V cuando traen una carta de transferencia de su programa anterior.

Educación Religiosa Especial

La educación religiosa para niños y adultos con discapacidades se ofrece en San Pío V. Los grupos se re únen los fines de semana en la parroquia y tienen varios eventos especiales durante todo el año, incluyendo la celebración de los sacramentos en mayo.

Confirmación para Jóvenes

Jóvenes de 13 a 17 años de edad se participan en el programa de Confirmación. La inscripción para el programa ya comenzó en junio. La Confirmación es un programa de dos años en nuestra parroquia e incluye la asistencia de padres y madres.

Preparación de Adultos para los Sacramentos

Adultos que no han recibido los sacramentos del Bautismo, Comunión, Confirmación o Reconciliación se pueden completar su preparación sacramental con la Iglesia Católica a través del Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos (RICA). Las clases se llevan a cabo los domingos a partir del otoño. Los sacramentos se reciben en la Vigilia de Pascua (el Sábado de Gloria).

Quinceañeras

Personas que quieren celebrar sus quinceaños en San Pío V necesitan registrar seis meses antes y participar en clases de preparación. Llame a la oficina parroquial para registrar.

Matrimonios

El matrimonio sacramental en la iglesia católica exige una preparación con mucha reflexión y oración. Llame a la oficina parroquial 6-8 meses antes para instrucciones y preparativos.

Religious Education and Sacraments

Children from 1st through 12th-grade may enroll in catechetical programs for the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Communion, and Confirmation.

The programs begin in September and registration takes place now, in June and July, in the parish office. Students who transfer from other programs are welcome at St. Pius V when they bring a letter of transfer from their previous program. Call 312-226-6161 for more information.

Special Religious Education

Religious education for children and adults with disabilities is offered at St. Pius V. Groups meet on weekends at the parish and have several special events throughout the year including the celebration of sacraments in May.

Confirmation for Youth

Young people between the ages of 13 to 17 are eligible for the Confirmation program. Enrollment for the program takes place now, in the months of June and July. Confirmation is now a 2-year program at our parish and includes the involvement of parents.

Adult (age 18 and over) Preparation for the Sacraments

Adults who have not received the sacraments of Baptism, Communion, Confirmation, or Reconciliation are welcome to complete their sacramental preparation or to seek full communion with the Catholic Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). Classes are held on Sundays starting in the fall. Reception of the sacraments takes place at the Easter Vigil (Holy Saturday night).

Quinceañeras

Girls or boys who want to publicly affirm their growing maturity with a quinceaños celebration at St. Pius V need to register with the parish six months before their 15th birthday and are required to participate in preparatory classes.

Marriages

Sacramental marriage in the Catholic church requires thoughtful and prayerful preparation. Call the parish office 6-8 months prior to your wedding date to register for instructions and preparations.
